Yes, in moderation. If you are prescribed pre-natal vitamins, then take them as directed. if you're buying off-the-shelf vitamins, take THOSE as directed. Some vitamins can be toxic when taken to excess (like vitamin A), and some are OK in any amount (like vitamin C).

if you are eating a properly balanced diet, you probably don't NEED vitamins, but for a newly pregnant mom-to-be, a folic acid supplement (taken in accordance with the directions, no more!) isn't a bad idea.
