First of all. If it is a 1993 and is a 1/2 ton then it will have the 4L60E transmission in it. Not the 700R4. The 3/4 tons used the 4L80E in them. If you put a 350 turbo in it the engine Will not even run right because of the computer system on the truck will be trying to figure out were the transmission is at.
See the transmissions that came factory ( see above ) are electronic controlled transmissions and the computer on the truck reads and controls the engine and transmission at all times. So if you do away with 1 or the other things won't work right. If you want the truck to run and shift right. Then put 1 of the above transmissions back in it. Remember- 1/2 and 3/4 ton transmissions are different. You didn't say what weight truck you have.

yes but the 350 turbo like the 400 turbo are vacuum run so you will need to tie into a vacuum line i put a turbo hydromatic 400 in my 1990 silverado that originally had a 700r4 it sucks not having overdrive but it will work also the output shaft is bigger so i needed a compatible transfer case in a 2wd this may not be a problem

the transmission will bolt up to the block. trans mount in rear will most likely be different. shift linkage will sorta work. reason being is th350 has three forward gears and 700r4 has four forward gears. when i did the swap from th350 to 700r4 i made my own rear mount. instead of the stock shifting assembly i used a B&M megashifter for 700r4. make sure you use the torque converter for the 700r4. it should be noted that this is a common swap and many aftermarket companies offer shift linkage set ups or shifters for this application as well as mounts for the rear of the trans and any other adapting devices you might need.

The simple answer is yes. there are two engines in talons, lasers and eclipses. or better known as dsm's. (diamond star motors). there is the 4g63, and the 420a. which both come in turbo and non-turbo models. if you are looking to swap a turbo 4g63 into a non turbo 4g63 shell, the swap is simple. same as if your swapping a turbo 420a into a non turbo 420a shell. now, if your looking to swap a turbo 4g63into a nonturbo 420a or vise versa, you will encounter problems with motor mounts, wiring etc. keep in mind the wiring and ecu's etc will be different on each motor.
