the manifold will boltup but you need to get a new jpipe and oil/water lines, you can find all that in a kit on ebat fyi
in the engine compartment on the firewall
Sure you can with a bottomless check book but why in the world would you wanna do that?
It can, but some modifications have to be done. It's actually a common thing to do to put a 6 bolt head (head from an eclipse produced from 89 - mid 91) from a 1g eclipse (1st generation) into a 2g eclipse (2nd generation) due to several benefits. If its a head from a mid 91- 94, then its pretty much a direct swap.
Anything is possible but on a 1st gen the body is molded differently lots of fab but it can be done, is it worth it? Probaly not. now you can however easily swap in a turbo motor/trans. 2g eclipses/ talons are basically direct bolt in for the awd swap
Your going to have to be a little more specific. A 95 vs a 92 they are not compatible with each other and would take a lot of modification to use the transmission and engine. I would not recommend doing this. The 90-94's are compatible with each other other than the automatics. The auto DSM's changed from 90 to 91 and from 91- Early 92 to late 92-94. Do some more research on google. The is plenty of information out there.
The flywheel for the FWD tranny should have 6 bolts. The turbo flywheel has 100 teeth and the nonturbo should have 106. The AWD flywheel should have 7 bolts.
plug and play swap, engine mounts works and so will the tranny. must change ecu and wiring harness with the swap, which will require removing the dashboard.(that's the hardest part) ..for more info on that swap go to this link www.4g61t.org -freebsdkid
I have a 91 eclipse with a turbo, I had it up to 145 mph (its almost the same vehicle) I would assume yours could do that as well.
As long as the ECUs are from a NA to an NA. Don't mix a turbo and a NA. They have different cylinder compression and fuel maps. The bigger changes come after 93, so you can swap from a 90-93 ECU, and then 94-96 ECU. I know for a fact 90 and 91 turbo ecus can be swapped, I've done it.
i dont know alot about toyotas but ive done it in my dodge shadow.... if the engine blocks are the same and bolt up the same....then the only thing you might need to look into is the wiring harness and the computer for the turbo engine.. but before you do this i suggest getting the wiring book from the dealership for the car or just ...make it fit haha the non turbo is 5sfe engine where as the turbo is a 3sgte engine. now you can do a swap [i suggest Google how to do so] but in order to not risk anything there are a few other things u need to swap such as the rear axles.
Yes
The swap will work . You may have to change exhaust pipe, swap the ECM with the one from the 91 engine. You are going to have to look and check the wiring harness in the 96 , You may have to swap the too. Probably be easier just to find a used 2.2L.
