In addition to engine, you will need: tran, trans crossmember (if different), rear axle and driveshaft, wiring harness, proper computers, at least front spring upgrade if not rear spring, radiator (just to name a few).
You can run an engine in/out of a car without a transmission. Car wont move and engine wont be mounted properly. So i suggest not to run an engine without a transmission unless you know what you are doing.
It can make the engine run so poorly that it seems like the transmission has problems. It can make the engine run so poorly that it seems like the transmission has problems.
Engine, transmission, steering, brakes, electrical, suspension
The engine, a chassis, the transmission and gearbox, the brakes, the steering, and the frame
no. This will cause problems in the transmition.
No they are completely different. A engine flush will only clean the engine a transmission flush will only clean the transmission. These two components use two different kinds on fluid therefor they can not be mixed together.
You NEED a OBDII engine scanner so you can go into the transmission mode and scan the transmission to see if it has any electrical problems / computer problems.
reverse kills engine
engine without transmission is 150kg depending on which accessories are attached.
You can in theory rev it to the red-line without engine damage. But doing this on a regular basis will shorten the engine life. Just like any other mechanical device, pushing it to the limit will cause increased stress on all components, including the transmission.
Yes
Yes it will, Engine performance has alot to do with the transmission on todays automobiles. Alot of so called transmission problems are not the transmission at all. Most of the time it is the engine causing the trans. to act up.
