Yes you can

If you have a 2004 LeSabre without a tach can you swap this instrument cluster out with one with a tach?

It should work ok if the wire for the tach under the hood is connected and I don't remember which one it is.

Can you swap an instrument cluster in 94 geo metro with another cluster that is equiped with a tach?

There are some rare LSI convertable models that have a tach. That cluster will go straight into the base model Metro 89-94. All of the connectors were already in place so all I had to do was simply connect them.

Can you replace an instrument cluster without a tach on a 2000 Ford Focus with another instrument cluster form another focus with a tach?

The instrument cluster can be replaced. The connectors on the back of the instrument clusters are the same for all versions of that generation of the Ford Focus. There are however problems when doing this: -The odometer will show the miles from the old cluster. The milage is built in to the cluster, not the car. -Some panel lights (like the ABS light) may light up depending on your vehicle's options. It is sometimes possible (although usually relatively expensive) to have the cluster reprogrammed at a Ford dealership to correct these problems.

What will cause the tach to drop out then engage again?

This is usually due to a bad ground on the instrument cluster.

If you have a 98 corolla without a tach can you install an instrument panel with a tach and will it work?

It should work. I have a 94 w/o a tach and put a LE version cluster with tach in. Works fine. There should still be a tach wire grouped into the harness plugs. Just unplug your old one and plug in the new one that's it.

Abs airbag check engine light tach wont work why?

Is it possible to upgrade the instrument cluster in a 1995 beretta with a 3100 from one with no tach to one with a tach?

Yes, but you need to be sure you're swapping a cluster from 1991-1995 V6 engine only. The tach will not be accurate if using a cluster from a 4 cylinder, and will not work at all using a cluster from 1996. This is VERY easy to do! You can swap them out and everything on the cluster will work just fine except for the oil pressure gauge. It will say, "0" this is because the old oil sending unit was designed to make your dummy light on the old cluster come on in the event of oil loss. When you replace your cluster with the one with the gauges you will need a new oil sending unit. Tell the parts guy that you need an oil sending unit for a 96 Beretta WITH gauge NOT light. It is easy to replace. It is located on the front of the motor about half way down!

Will replacing the Tach filter on a 1986 corvette fix a non-working tach everything in the cluster works but the tach?
