Can you take off the the airflow meter and the intake and replace it with a carburetor air-filter for a 1992 305 If anything is there any way to improve the air intake of the car?

a k&n filter and the best improvement you can make would be to upgrade the intake manifold to an edelbrock performer tbi and a turbo cities 620 cfm throttle body
