I want to know can I take percocets after not taking suboxone for three days and will the percocet work effectively? A: It depends on how long you've been taking Suboxone, and how many mgs. If you have been taking a low dosage(less than 8mg a day for about a week), three days should be fine. If you've been taking upwards of 8-24mg a day for a week or more, three days may not be enough. I would wait until you feel "the need" to take opiates again.

∙ 14y agoYou could take a percocet after the suboxone.. but it would be pointless... the suboxone blocks the effects of pain pills so if you take suboxone THEN a pain pill, you're just wasting it.. it is pointless.. but if you take or do a pain pill THEN suboxone.. it will reverse the effects and cause you to go into withdrawl worse than what you wouldv'e ever to begin with.

∙ 14y agoIf you take suboxone and then an opiate you won't feel the narcotic effects of the opiate nearly as much. Suboxone already has some opiate-like effects (obviously because it's an opiate itself), but they are very subtle.

Its pointless to take percocet while taking suboxone because suboxone blocks all of your reseptors in your body so the narcodic from the percocet cant get in your reseptors, its a waste of percocets

It only alleviates the negative symptoms associated with opiate withdrawal. Suboxone is also not an opiate, therefore you cannot create a standard such as "1 Suboxone = 1 Percocet" or whatever.
