I was presrcibed phentermine today and I am also on suboxone. The doctor said it is ok to take as long as I go to the doctor every two weeks for a checkup. I did some research and phentermine is a controlled substance in the U.S., it is legal here and its also an anphentamine which means it's easilly addictive. If your on suboxone for being addicted to something else, your doctor will probably have a hard time giving it to you. That is why I have to go every two weeks for a check up. They are ok to take together but there are major side effects. Some people have arymthia's in their heart.. including sinus arythmya, which taking phentermine with an arythmia can be deadly. I would suggest getting and EKG before taking phentermine to make sure you dont have one!I know there are people who would take phentermine without a doctors knowledge and I would highly suggest NOT doing it!! Def, get checked by a doctor first to make sure you wont have complications!! I am not a doctor, but this is the information I was told! So please see a doctor before taking phentermine alone, yet again while taking suboxone at the same time!!

Yes, I took both simultaneously for 7 years, but had already been taking Phenergan for a long time before suboxone. You can but be very careful as they are both Central Nervous System depressants and can slow your breathing.

Yes! In fact many Dr.'s prescribe it to their patients. There have been some reports of Suboxone causing nausea and vomiting.
