You shouldn't ever take larger than the prescribed dosage.
Largest produced individual Xanax, alprazolam, pill 2mg (that I know of)
Smallest produced individual Xanax, alprazolam, pill 0.25mg (that I know of)
2mg x 6 = 12mg
0.25 x 6 = 1.5mg
I suggest either following your doctor's suggestion, or realize for yourself that above 2mg the chemical will be dangerous.

The rate of metabolization depends on the individual liver, what other chemicals are present, what has been eaten, and other factors. If you are concerned about drug testing, be assured that the metabolites that the tests react to will be present at the end of 6 hours.

all different kinds of xanax have different milligram dosages.
the white bars are the highest-2mg. and some people snort 2 and are just a little messed up off it. it depends on your tolerance, size and stuff. i suggest looking on a medical website for the overdose limit.
