Assuming that there is no proprietary software that denies it, and that the two computers are using compatible filesystems, you should be able to get the same files from the memory card. the issues you might have are if you try to transfer from a Macintosh or Linux machine to a PC; the other way around should work fine

Rebooting a computer simply means restarting the computer which will leave all your files intact. Restoring a computer however, restores your computer back to how it was when it left the factory meaning all additional added data by yourself and others would be completely erased.

How do you transfer a saved Nancy Drew game file to another computer?

Copy the files that end in ".SAV" from your "My Documents" folder (or wherever the game saved your files-- sometimes on Desktop or elsewhere) to the folder on the other computer where it saves files. If you're not sure where the new computer saves files, then start a new game, name it, and save it, then search for that file. The name of the file is always "name of your game".SAV. Then you can open the file on the new computer.

Why is your computer asking you to format a memory stick that has been used on it before and on which lots of work is saved?

It could be because you have corrupted files on it. Try using it on a different computer if you have one. If it works on a separate computer, just move all of the files off of it, format it on the computer it doesn't work with and then just move the files back onto it. This has happened to me before and that seemed to do the trick.

What is a computer memory RAM?

A computer memory RAM stands for Random Access Memory. It denotes a primary memory for the computer system. RAM works when we type or do a job or an event which is not saved yet. RAM can not exist otherwise it is saved in the hard drive in the computer. Therefore, whenever there is an interruption in electricity the memory is lost.
