Yes, on a 3.3 or 3.8 the serpentine belt pulley does come off the tensioner arm but the bolt is left thread not right handed.

I loosened the bolt (18mm) that secures the BT to the engine and the BT pulley bolt(15mm) but was still unable to move the BT in any way. I then put an ~8" loop of 1" webbing around the BT's arm, slid a crowbar thru it and using the top of the strut housing as a fulcrum, lifted the crowbar. The BT shifted and I was able to reach down with one hand and remove the belt from off the idler pulley.

Loosen the idler pulley nut then go back up top and loosen the tensioner, this will allow you to remove the AC/alternator belt. From underneath you must loosen the power steering pump bolt on the back (if you have a racheting 14mm wrench it makes the job easier) then loosen the top bolt on the tensioner, then loosen the adjustment bolt on the bottom of the tensioner. Installation is reverse order.

Buy a 15 mm wrench with an offset on it. It is almost impossible to do without one. Easiest way is to work from underneath the car. Raise car and support with jack stands. Unsnap two panel trim fastener on right splash guard and push to side. Reach up with serpentine belt tool or long 15 mm box wrench and move belt tensioner pulley clockwide to loosen belt. Slip belt off the idler pulley which is to the right of the tensioner pulley. To put on just remember to put the belt under idler pulley last while taking tension off the tensioner pulley. Should take you only 5 minutes to do job. It'll take you longer to jack up car and move splash guard than for removing belt. I work from above, but I bought a cheap 15mm box end wrench (offset some) and cut off the other end so I can slip a pipe over it as a long cheater. This has made a very difficult frustrating job a very easy one.
