Turn OFF the air suspension switch that is located in the right front passenger footwell , by the kick panel
Did you happen to check the turn signal flasher before you installed the switch?
The air suspension shut off switch is located behind an access panel in the trim panel on the left side of the cargo area by the liftgate . Anytime any of the wheels will be off the ground you should turn the air suspension switch OFF ( changing a tire , putting it on a lift , if the Navigator was being hauled by a tow truck etcetera )
how to turn off dome lights to my 2005 navigator
On a 1999 Lincoln Navigator : The air suspension shut off switch is in the front passenger footwell , by the kick panel ( for any time you are changing a tire , if the vehicle is being towed , or if the vehicle is on a hoist that allows the wheels to hang down , shutting off the air suspension system will prevent any damage to the system )
2001 it should be located PASSENGER SIDE UNDER THE GLOVE BOX TO THE RIGHT THERE IS A PANEL IT IS A BLACK SWITCH RECTANGLE SHAPED. MAKE SURE YOU TURN IT BACK ON BEFORE DRIVING
The air suspension switch is on the passenger side of the vehicle under the glove box. It is far in the right hand corner so dont get discouraged if you don't feel it the first time you reach under there. You should also turn it off whenever your truck is getting service that requires your truck to be lifted off the ground or jacked up so you won't damage your suspension.
because you own it
The 1998 Lincoln Navigator trailer turn signal fuse will be in the fuse box. The trailer turn signal fuse will be one of the auxiliary fuses at the bottom of the second column.
if you do turn off your air ride which i have done before to give it that lowered look i have gone almost 8 months without turning it back on, and the only down side is that you will get that annoying check engine light and your ride will be terrible, you will feel every rock lol but usually when i am going on a long trip i flip the switch and turn ti back on and its back to normal :D
Nothing will happen you just wont be able to get that extra leveling if added weight or reduced, Yes you can drive with it off, wont hurt a thing.
