The battery is there for when the bike is not running and the generator is not working. You might need a bigger generator rather than a bigger battery.
When the switch is turned it completes an electrical circuit. The circuit amperage flows through a high resistance filament in the bulb and it starts to glow. The bright glow from the filament and the reflector behind the bulb is what creates the flashlights beam.
Voltage is the energy it takes to move one particle from Point A to Point B, though a conductor.
Depending on the circumstances and previous convictions, battery can be both a misdemeanor and a felony. Battery on a Police Officer is most always a felony. Simple Battery, is generally a high grade misdemeanor. If you've been convicted of battery once before, it could be upgraded to a low class felony. Check your states' statues regarding Battery or Assault (though they are technically different, some states fade the meaning).
Rubber is not used though plastics are. Plastics are used to insulate them because they do not conduct electricity
Electrical energy is produced by humans in power generation plants. These can be powered by burning coal or other fossil fuels or they can be powered by water, as for example is done at the Hoover Dam. There are also nuclear power plants. The details vary in each case, but somehow a turbine is being turned by the power source and alternating magnetic fields are created in the presence of conductors where electric current is generated. This all goes into the electrical grid. Mother nature also generates electricity, most spectacularly in the form of lightning. There are a variety of processes that produce electricity including the process that creates electric sparks when you walk across a carpet. There are also chemical processes that occur in a battery. In all of these examples, some form of energy is converted to electrical energy though the mechanism is different in the various examples.
The side that has a thing that slightly sticks up on the end of it.
In general, battery is source of electricity and not the heat source. However, for common use of battery, battery can be a heat source though it is not intended to be. It is because the flow of electrical current through resistance would give out heat. If your battery heat up without cause then it is suspected for the short-circuit. Over charging or oversupply of electricity would also cause the battery heat up.

Check your connections. bad connections can make a battery not charge or not power the phone.
It uses an A76 battery. I looked on the web and got different answers. Even the manual from the Schwinn web site was wrong. I called Schwinn whose customer service rep asked tech support. They said that even though the manual says to use a AAA it's really an A76.
well usually it is charged when you get it and says to run the battery out and then charge it. It really depends though. You should be able to find it in the instruction manual. hope this helps
If a battery will not charge, there are either one of two problems. - 1:The battery has run it's course, and it's energy cells have burnt out through excessive or improper use / bad charging and discharging habits. Solution: Replace battery. 2:The electronics that route from the wall outlet to the battery are damaged somewhere, rendering the charging capabilities useless. This may be anything, from an electrical short to a bad connection. Solution: With electrical engineering experience, you may (though it is not recommended) possibly try and inspect the device yourself and fix it with soldering, etc.
Charge, boost or replace the battery, you're not getting enough boost from it (yes even though electrical items may be working)
bad electrical connection.some where.
Nobody. Computer batteries are just ordinary batteries made using currently available battery technology made to computer manufacturer specification: both electrical and packaging. Computer manufacturer desires though have been a strong driver of recent battery technologies and chemistries, especially the very risky but high energy lithium battery chemistry.
A solar radio is powered by the sun, though it can also be charged albeit slowly on a dull day. It allows one to use the radio in situations where there may not be access to battery or electrical power.
