the 305 isn't a big block, as far s i know. for the most part small block engines have the same bolt pattern at the bell housing. to ck my answer try to search for bell housing bolt patterns ect. good luck.
Actually the 305 v6 IS a big block....
Actually in 1960 in Chevy/ Gmc trucks they started putting a v6 in trucks it was a v6 305 Big Block. I have one in my 1963 GMC long-bed. It is a rare motor and hard to find parts for.Yes you can use the 63 transmission and bolt it up to the 73 350.I am putting a automatic turbo 350 in mine and it bolts right up.
YES
and would i have to buy el camino parts for Chevy 1500 tranny or would i buy Chevy 1500 parts for the tranny?
The starter bolts to the block.
Yes.
Not without an adapter.
most any 1963 and up small or big block bellhousing will bolt up.
That would be the 4L60E
yes
If it's for a 305 it's a Chevy and will interchange with a 350. If it's an Olds, it won't.
the block & heads are the same you just have to pull the 305 out & put the 350 back in
yes it will I've even bolted a 700R4 on a 85 (305)
The Chevy small block V8 305 cubic inch engine was manufactured between 1976 and 1996. It was used in cars and trucks.
