yes ofcourse you can...confectioner's sugar is powedered suger and can be used in garnishing cakes, cream rolls n other desserts.......
Apparently not, because I just found multiple recipes for Angel Food Cake online that just use regular granulated sugar. Now if you want to make a glaze to put on top, you may need confectioners sugar

Grease a 15x10-inch jelly roll pan. Line with waxed paper. Grease paper. # Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. # Beat together sugar and egg yolks at high speed until light and fluffy. At low speed, alternately beat milk and flour mixture into egg mixture. # Using clean beaters, beat egg whites at high speed until stiff, but not dry, peaks form. Just sprinkle the top of your favorite brownie with powdered sugar. If you want it too look pretty then place a stencil or pattern over first, then the powdered sugar.
After slicing and in dish, pour milk over it.
