PS3 hogs up the use of the router.. I have not found a fix for it yet but i currently have a linksys and with my ps3 on and running online. The Rest of my computers internet speed slows down in the house.
PS3 requires Broadband internet service or DSL and can not be connected to a phone or USB wireless adaptor using the USB ports in the front of the PS3. Dial up will not work for the PS3. Just because you have an acceptable connection for a phone or computer does not mean that it will work to connect the PS3 which requires a high speed connection from cable or DSL
