You can use an older intake or a newer intake. All you have to do is realign the two center bolt holes. This will work I have already done it. The newer intake can be used on the older truck with out switch the heads. All you have to do is make sure all the ports match. i start out first of all that a 1978 intake and a 1993 intake will not interchange but the heads with the intake will and the transmission on the 1993 will bolt up fine and the moto mounts will ok too if you don't want change the heads then i would call summit racing up and i do so belie the can get you a intake that will accept the 1993 fuel injection system which i would do if i was you i would not elminate the computer system due to the fact that your transmission(if auto) relies on it unless you want to by a piece from summit to control it well good luck on it
Switch the intake and exhaust manifolds it should work.
You can't.
If your car has the "X" engine with carburetter the fan switch is in the intake manifold more or less in front of the distributor. If your car has the "W" engine with fuel injection the fan switch is in the top of the thermostat outlet.
You would need to make a way to mount a carburetor on the factory intake manifold. It would not be easy.
No , if the fuel pump inertia switch ( shut off switch ) is not reset when the button has popped up on the top of the switch then no electric power is flowing to the electric fuel pump ( assuming your Ford F-150 is new enough to have fuel injection instead of a carburetor )
if it is the same size. 3.1 for 3.1 or 2.2 for 2.2 go ahed and do it. you may need to switch intake or exhaust manifolds so all the wires and such line up.
GM. did not start using TPS / THROTTLE POSITION SENSORS until they switch to the fuel injection fuel system. Your truck has a carburetor, TPS was not used on that type of fuel system.
First of all the 85 is a fuel injected engine, You can not put a carburetor on a fuel injected intake manifold it won't even fit.And if you put a carbureted intake on it you will need to change the elect fuel pump in the tank, the distributor and you will need to DRILL out the 4 center bolt holes in the intake manifold too. Plane and simple THE ENGINE WON'T RUN WORTH A...................D...M need to keep it fuel injected.
The 1989 Acura Legend fuel injection relay switch can be found in the fuse box. The fuel injection relay switch will be in the third column, third from the top.
2000
They dont have a reset switch!
Chevy swtitched some of Camaros to fuel injection in the mid 1980's. By 1988 every Camaro engine came with Fuel injection.
