Well not if you want the piercing to heal. See you need to have air circulation in the navel, which by chance is always warm and moist. Sealing the navel up with a Tagiderm bandage is just going to create a wet environment that bacteria loves to live in. Just clean the piercing and leave it alone and keep you dirty hands off it and it should heal up just fine.

It wouldn't be a huge deal if you slid down on your back. But, if I were you, I'd put a waterproof bandage over it. it prevents snagging and it protects your piercing from the bacteria-filled water.

You can get a kit in Motor stores to patch mufflers or you can weld a patch but remember it is only a temporary thing to tide you over as eventually you will have to change it
The patch will hold better if you remove the existing patch. If you patch over the existing patch, make sure all the edges are sealed off. If you are tired of replacing your vinyl liners, you might want to check out fiberglass as an option. A new fiberglass surface can be applied to your pool, and you will get a much longer life out of it. You can read more at: http://www.advancedpoolcoatings.com
