Depends. Aeronautical badges and the space badge can be worn as group 3 badges. Badges that solely denote occupation (communications, acquisitions, logistics, etc...) can not be worn.
With ribbons, Marksmanship and Longevity can not be worn. All others can be.
The Combat Action Badge (CAB) is specific to the U.S. Army and is awarded to soldiers who have actively engaged or been engaged by enemy forces in combat. If you switch from the Army to the Air Force, you will not be authorized to wear the CAB unless you have previously earned it during your time in the Army. The Air Force has its own combat-related awards and badges, such as the Air Force Combat Action Medal (CAM).
I don't know about Army Aircrew wings but you are authorized to wear Navy Aircrew Wings in the Air Force, if you can manage to get them. Best bet is to check Air Force Uniform Regulations publications.
It's because in the Air Force EOD falls under Civil Engineering and EOD was not willing to give up their 'crab' for CE's compass. So they compromised and wear both.
Not on Air Force uniforms, no, although I have seen TAC-Ps wear it when they were wearing Army issue ACUs while assigned directly to Army unit.
The Air Force did not exist in WWII. It was part of the US Army until 1947.
Air Force
No. The Army Air Corps was separated from the Army and redesignated the Air Force on September 18, 1947.
You can purchase an Army Air Force Technician Badge with AP Armorer bar on various military supply websites or authorized military uniform stores. Some popular options include the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), Vanguard, and USAMM. It's recommended to check with official military sources for authentic badges.
The Army Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal should be worn on an Air Force uniform in the same place where the Air Force Organizational Excellence award is worn. It is typically worn centered on the wearer's right side, above the right breast pocket and below any personal decorations. However, it is always best to consult the Air Force dress and appearance regulations for precise guidance.
Yes, you can wear your NAC in your Air Force uniform - just make sure that you have your former rate/rating and NATOP recorded in your Air Force RIP, so that no one can question it - not that they probably would. I did the above and wear my NAC with my AFSC badge....
People's Liberation Army Air Force was created in 1949.
