You can, but you may damage your amp.

If you wire them in parallel (both wires from each connected to the amp) then you will have an effective resistance less than 2 ohms. If you wire them in series then you will have an effective resistance of 6 ohms.

Resistance that is too low draws more power than the output is rated for. Resistance that is too high reduces the volume and may distort the sound.

Is an 8 ohm sub woofer better than a 4 ohm sub woofer?

no the higher the ohm the more resistance in the speaker the lower the resistance the more power it will use so if they are the same make the 4 ohm should be louder

How many watts does a Punch 12 DVC HX2 output?

A Punch HX2 sub woofer's peak power is 1000 watts.

You have bridged kicker kx 200.2 What sub should you buy?

A Kicker cvr 10 or 12 inch DVC 4 ohm sub

Can you wire a dvc 4 ohm sub woofer and a svc 8 ohm sub woofer together on a 4 ohm amp?

Sorry, but there is really no 4 ohm amplifier. We use only voltage bridging. The amplifier will have an output impedance of around 0.04 ohms. In hi-fi we have always impedance bridging. Zout

How do you wire a sub in a Saturn sc?

Connect the sub woofer to the equalizer or amplifier. The positive wire will need to be connected to a power source. Connect the ground wire. Connect the auxiliary wire to the amplifier.

Why does the comp cvr 12 have four places to put wires?

Because it has a Dual Voice Coil (DVC) which gives you more wiring options, eg. dual 2 ohm coils that let you wire in parallel for 1 ohm final, or in series for 4 ohm final load. You MUST use both of them for proper operation of you risk damaging the sub.

Can you wire a 2 channel amp to a dvc sub using one channel per coil?

if the sub can handle it yes....say if u have a 2000 watt amp 2 channel and u have a 2000 watt DVC sub then it will work but wouldn't advise doing that for great sound qulity

How do you wire dvc 4 ohm sub to 4 ohm amp?

There is really no amplifier on the market which has an output impedance of 4 ohms. The impedance of an amplifier is always less than 0.5 ohms. We do not use matching, we use bridging when we connect the amplifier to the loudspeaker. Scroll down to related links and look at "Interconnection of two audio units".

How do you wire up a dual 4 ohm sub to 2 ohms?

i dont now

How do you replace a subwoofer in a 2001 suburban?

Remove the wiring harness from your 2001 Chevy Suburban sub woofer. Remove the sub woofer retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new sub woofer.

Can you wire a 4 ohm 500 watt sub woofer in parallel with a 4 ohm resistor to get 300 watts out of your 75 x 2 bridged amp would this effect sound quality what wattage of resistor?

This would have 2 effects:Cause an impedance mismatch between the amp and the speaker.Draw more current from the amp, possibly overloading & damaging it.Neither is desirable.

Where can you find a factory amplifier on a 1998 expedition Eddie Bauer?

as far as i know there is only one amp and it powers the sub woofer. it is located in back, in the panel beside the sub woofer. pull off the panel covering the sub and look up to the left of the sub and there is a little gray metal box and a wire going from it into the sub box. the little metal box is the amp.
