check your wheel barrings i just had the same problem on my Buick lesabre jack up your car untill the wheel is off the ground and grab the tire and shake it if there is alot movement when you do its probably the wheel barring it is pretty easy to replace if that is what is wrong with it get a chiltons it will help alot :)
You probably have a "throwout bearing" going bad.

The grinding noise you hear are your shocks and struts. If you experience bouncy while you are driving, as well, you should have them changed.

It depends on where the grinding noise is coming from. Most of the time the grinding is coming from the brakes and the brake pads need to be replaced. If they've been grinding for a while, the rotors will need to be resurfaced or replaced. Other possibilities for grinding are worn axle bearings, or a problem with the clutch.
