Manual
Most cars this is not a problem, the engines are identical.
The oil type that is used for a manual transmission will depend on the car. Most cars will take 10W30 oil.
The differences between automatic and manual cars refers to the type of transmission which is used in the car. Automatic cars are much easier to drive for most people as they do not need to change the gears by any special actions.
Most automatic transmission cars have a 3.73 while manual trannmission cars have a 3.45
The most fuel efficient cars in America are manufactured by General Motors , Chrysler and Ford. The EPA ratings are derived on a formula based on 45% highway driving and 55% city driving. Although motorists can get the best fuel economy in manual transmission models, the estimation was done based on automatic transmission.
Sure most new or near new (Especially in the last 15 years) cars that have manual gearboxes are front wheel drive.
This really depends on what transmission it is. Most transmissions hold about 7 quarts in trucks, and 5-6 quarts in cars. Look in your owners manual for exact measurements.
I can't say I know the Tercel specifically (ask the dealer), but most (like probably 90%) of all manual transmission cars do not have a transmission dipstick. Direct gear connection limits fluid loss from excess heat and friction, so dipsticks are generally unneeded.
The gears are located in the manual transmission. This assembly of gears and pinions is most of the time located just behind the engine. This arrangement places two heavy objects (the engine and transmission) in one area concentrating weight in a single spot. This is not good for weight distribution, which would be best if more evenly distributed throughout the car. Therefore someone came up with a transaxle. Which puts the transmission at the rear axle. This is found on more exotic cars. Cars with front wheel drive have the transmission next to the engine, which is located in the front of the car.
most manuel transmissions hve a filter, to get at the filter the oilpan needs to be removed from bottom of transmission
Some European built cars have no Dipstick in the Automatic transmission. These can not be checked unless an aftermarket dip stick are installed. They are "Filled For Life" If this is a manual transmission most have a plug on the side of the gear box to check the level.
