First, securely lift the front of the vehicle on stands and remove the front wheels. You will need to loosen the 2 hex bolts in the back of the calipers to loosen them. You will need to push back in the caliper pistons in order for the new disc (it is a good idea to change the pads at this time also) to fit it. It is important to note that in the 97 Tbird, you can not use a C-clamp to push the pistons back in (you will brake the C-clamp or the caliper), you need to screw them back in, that is why the flat part of the pistons have 2 grooves on them. You can go to some autoparts stores and rent (for free with a reimbursable deposit at Advance autoparts) a tool kit that has all the gadgets necessary to this piston retraction.
Also important is to open the cover of the brake fluid container located in the engine compartment because as you push (or screw) the pistons back in, brake fluid will flow towards that container.
Once you have done this, assemble all parts again and make sure everything is tight an in the correct position. It is a good idea to do 1 wheel at a time, so you have the other wheel to see exactly how it is supposed to look after the work is done.
