The rear brakes on the P5 are a bit different than most setups...be careful! The only way to move the piston back into the caliper is by way of a special Allen head bolt that is directly behind the piston, on the back side of the caliper, installed under a 14mm bolt.
You have to remove this bolt to gain access to the Allen head. As you loosen the Allen head bolt(counter-clockwise), the piston will move back into the caliper.
Installation is pretty typical, again, the Allen head bolt being the unusual part. The manual says to tighten this bolt until the pads contact the rotor, then loosen the bolt 1/3rd of a turn, then reinstall the 14mm bolt.
Hope this helps...I found all of this out the hard way.
Yes they will fit. There is not a difference in part number for a protege or protege5.
part of the fuel pump housing, replace complete fuel pump housing

HOW DO I TIGHTEN EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLE ON A 2002 MAZDA PROTEGE 5?
how do change brake pads on a 2002 dodge pickup 4x4
No.
Hello, I have a 2002 Protege5 with the same problem. I am quite sure that it is the serpentine belt as the squeal started after I had both belts replaced at 60,000 miles. I would check to see if one of them is too loose. Good Luck!
Yes
there either 10.28x1.33 or 11.20x1.33 You have to take off your wheel and check yourself Mazda Changed there rotors midyear 2002-2003 Kinda Confusing lol.
The rear disc break pistons on Mazda are not to be pushed in. Instead you turn them in clockwise.
