You must enter the anti-theft code into the radio. Check the papers that are with the owners manual for the code, usually 4 digits, entered using the radio preset buttons. If you don't have the code call a Dodge dealer parts department and ask if they can look it up for you.
You probably have a bad ground. Check the grounds on the brake lights.
Sounds like a dead battery. Possible the battery cables just need to be cleaned and tightened. Try turning on the head lights. If they don't come on, your battery is definitely dead. If they do, try cleaning and tightening the battery cables.
For me the reason the clock and stereo were resetting was because they were losing all power from the battery. The battery was dead. maybe your cables need to be cleaned or there is a loose connection.

Your battery is dead if it will not accept a charge. Begin by removing the battery cover. Next, remove the negative and positive cables. Lift the battery out of the motorcycle. Replace it with a new battery and attach the negative and positive cables. Turn on the motorcycle to check that the lights are working and start the motorcycle to make sure that it runs properly. Replace the battery cover.

I have a 2001 Dakota. I had to remove the plastic cover first. It just unscrewed then the batttery was underneath and just pulled out. Also undo the pos./neg. cables first of course. Its simple. Good luck.

Ur battery cable may need to be cleaned coz battery acid corrodes on cables & its not getting a good connection. If theres no corrosion on cables then the cables may b loose. If its still having hard time cranking then it may need a new battery...possibly a stronger battery..
A bad starter. A loose connection @ the terminal ends-the battery cables-the starter solonoid-IF IT has Rubber covers around the battery ends corrosion from battery acid could cause it.EVEN a bad ground on the engine from the battery 2 the frame.(battery cables) The battery cable ends could be corroded and should be cleaned. The next step would be to check the starter selenoid and then the starter.
