One of the major differences between Islamic and Jewish preaching is that Islam proselytizes, but Judaism does not. Therefore, you will find Muslims preaching to Non-Muslims about joining Islam whereas you will not find Jews preaching to Non-Jews about joining Judaism.
When preaching to their own congregations, there are a myriad of similarities. Both quote scriptural verses along with jurisprudential scholarship in their religions when applying the religious values to current situations. There is likely a discussion about how the members of the congregation have a job to be better than they currently are and how to improve. There may also be discussions about those outside of the congregation and why they are "less enlightened" than the particular congregants.
