many reasons;
no battery

or a virus just scan your computer and follow the instructions from then on hope this helps there are other reasons that arent harmfull but those are the most likely
Alternate Answer: 98-2000 Durango??? You are talking about a PowerTrain Control Module, not a PC, right?? These things were a known problem. The engine compartment heats up, then the poorly manufactured circuit board within the computer (PCM) reacts by having certian signal paths near the 3 connectors open up. The truck shuts down (on the freeway, boat launch, crosswalk) and 'NO BUS' appears in the odometer display. A scan of codes reveals nothing, because the computer essentially shuts down, and doesn't log the cause, because it IS the cause. Dealer will charge you $100-$200 to tell you that they cannot duplicate the problem. Search this site for answers to replacing the PCM. They are fairly reasonably priced on Ebay, and some sellers can actually program them for you.
hey! warning: Don't go on zwinky it gives you're computer a virus then it shuts down!
-the computer slows down to open or execute programmes , - it opens multiple windows even if you desire to open one, -it shuts down or restarts automatically. -it send warning messages of computer crash down to the user. and many more others
Computers do not "seed".

A failed computer is possible, It could also be the cluster, wiring, ignition switch, etc.
turn it off and go to a computer store to get it removed before it shuts down your computer
Happened to us once, it was the battery. Just needed a new battery.
Check that battery is connected.

A computer that shuts down and reboots on its own often has an issue with the power supply. Replacing the power supply will often resolve the problem.
