No it does not.
Swollen taste buds and a sore throat could be a sign of an infection. These infections could be a strep throat, mono or coxsackie. A physician would be able to do an examination to get a better idea of the issue.
A cold usually comes along with other things, sometimes flu, strep throat, etc. and the reason that is is because coughs and colds lower your immune system, the body is fighting the cold and it lowers the immune system allowing other virus's and germs to get in this also includes allergies

It depends. If he has a congested nose or runny nose, there's a more likely chance its drainage. But if he has been feeling very tired, that's a sign of strep. Check his tonsels with a flashlight, if they are really red and if you see white patches or streaks of pus, it is most likely strep. You should see your doctor. I hope he gets better! I hate strep!
Yes, the rash associated with strep throat is called scarlet fever or scarletina. It is a rough, red, sandpaper like rash, and can be accompanied by a fever over 101, aches/pains, headache, nausea/vomiting, stomachache, sore throat or difficulty swallowing/swollen throat, and swollen lymph nodes on the neck. If you think you may have strep throat, please seek medical attention to get antibiotics.
Sore throats are a common condition that can have any number of causes. Post-nasal drip can cause the throat to become irritated. Excessive smoking can cause it, and a number of viral and bacterial conditions can contribute to the condition as well. One common bacterial infection that causes a sore throat and a fever as its two most common symptoms is strep throat. Most people get strep throat when they are children. As long as it is caught in time it is normally treated with a course of antibiotics that help the immune system do its job. Schools will usually demand that the child stay away from school for up to 24 hours after his symptoms have cleared up. A concerned parent who suspects his or her child might have contacted strep throat can help the diagnosis by making sure that the child is not coughing, sneezing or suffering from other cold symptoms. The condition is usually accompanied by a fever of 101 degrees or higher. Swollen lymph nodes also let a parent know that a child has a problem. If any of these symptoms occur, the best bet is to make a doctor’s appointment and see what he can do. Teenagers do get this sickness as well, but there is another condition, infectious mononucleosis that causes many of the same symptoms. If a teenager has been kissing, the odds are good that it is mono and not strep throat. Parents can do their teens and themselves a favor by not asking who they were kissing. A good medical professional will ask the same questions to determine who else might have been infected. Mononucleosis also includes fatigue as a symptom, which strep throat does not. The previous paragraphs have referred to strep throat as being a common condition in children. That does not mean it cannot occur in adults. It can and the symptoms are the same. People who have weakened immune systems due to age or conditions such as Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome can have this condition occur with other conditions.
I think that you need to take your child to the doctor because all though I am not a doctor white bumps in the throat can be signs of strep throat i have had it many times and each time the first sign of it was white bumps on my throat.missy177
Well, the best thing to do is not think about it. It sounds lame but it works. Drinking water will not help. A sore throat is associated with a dry throat from direct air flow, or cough or allergies. The best way to get rid of a sore throat is to take a shower or drink tea with ginseng. If your sore throat persists for more than 15 hours, you should consult your primary physician, as this may be a sign of strep throat
im pretty sure that white bloches are a sign of strep throat. Its a good idea to see your doctor because un treated strep can lead to scarlet fever.
