Koi is a type of fish. Just don't put koi in the pond and it will not be a koi pond.
goldfish, koi
That heron is after goldfish or koi in someones fish pond.
They get along with goldfish but you'll end up with babies that are part goldfish. I have them in the same pond and that's what happened to me. The main problem with putting Koi with other fish, is sometimes the other fish like to eat Koi.
Yes pond comets and other pond goldfish get along with koi, however koi can get over 24 inches long when a comet typically doesn't grow more than 12 inches- that's quite a considerable difference in size (which is why its often best to keep koi with other koi and goldfish with other goldfish).
A koi pond filter can be purchased at any pet store. Additionally, koi pond filters can be bought at specialty stores that cater specifically to koi pond owners.
It is a kind of goldfish that grows from 9 to 15 inches and comes in meny colors it is sort of like a koi fish it is a pond fish
Yes you can swim in it and they won't hurt you.
Absolutely not. One fancy goldfish requires 20 gallons on it's own, and a singletail goldfish requires 35 to 40 gallons alone with the exception of Koi which need a large pond.
koi fish would normally eat goldfish food try tetra fin goldfish flakes they are made for goldfish and koi

the common goldfish changes size depending on its home. if a small goldfish is kept in a little bowl it will not grow, however if it is kept in a large aquarium or pond it will grow much larger than its orginial size. therefore a gold fish can represent growth or the saying "a big fish in a little pond". but a koi fish which can be easily confused with a goldfish is completely different. the koi fish represents courage so look into that further if you're interested.
