If you mean the Supernova synthesizer from the company Novation, then, YES! By definition, a midi guitar has either no, or very limited sound generation capabilities of its own and actually needs a MIDI device (such as a synth like the Supernova) to produce the actual sound. The Supernova is a MIDI synthesizer, and a darn good one! Basically your midi guitar will send midi "messages" to the SuperNova which will produce the sound (assuming of course that you have it hooked up to an amplifier, your PC soundcard w/speakers, or headphones, etc). Good luck!
A M.I.D.I. instrument is an instrument that is compatible with the Musical Instrument Digital Interface (M.I.D.I.). This technology allows an instrument to talk to another instrument digitally. The MIDI interface has been around for many years and has served musicians well despite its limitations. In recent years, USB has been used in preference to MIDI because of the far higher data rate available compared to MIDI.
you need to use musical typing or plug in a midi controller

You could get tabs off the Internet or find a video online with a tutorial or you could a guitar tutor to teach you Use YouTube for the vids Use guitar-tabs.com for tabs No recommendations for tutoring
You could run it through midi like you would with a computer or use firewire into a digital recorder.
Midi to USB cables run from some sort of musical device (electronic keyboard, electric guitar, etc) to a USB port on your computer. You can use it to transfer midi files (music files) into your computer.
Buy the Focusrite.
If you mean just popping in a CD and getting MIDI out of it, no. But if you have a separate multitracks of music, you can use Drumagog or Slate Trigger to make drums to MIDI and Melodyne or Autotune to make monophonic melodic instruments like bass guitar or vocals to MIDI. But for chords? You are pretty much out of luck.
Yes, as long as it has a MIDI output or USB MIDI Interface, you can use it as a controller.

Matt Bellamy usually uses his signature Manson MB-1 (Red Glitterati) with the X.Y Midi Pad on it for New Born. Notes: -He also uses a DigiTech Whammy Pedal for the guitar solo. -His guitar is in Drop D tuning.
You could play music with it.
Theoretically, it is possible, since none of the strings are actually tuned. The tuning of each string evolves from the software. Currently none of the preset patches use drop tuning, however.
No, you could use your game controller. But, it would be more fun and of an experience if you had a guitar for Guitar Hero.
No. DubTurbo does not support MIDI Controllers, external MIDI gear, VST or other plugins.
Well actually you cant make the GHWT Drums into a controller because they dont have the R1,L1,R2,L2, or the L3 or R3. So you cant make them into a controller. Tangofizz77 says: "Also, in order for this too work, you need MIDI Out, not In. However, if you have a old/new MIDI Keyboard, you can use that too."
