No it is located under the glove box. Just remove the Two 7mm screws in the trim panel under the glove box. then look under towards the fire wall. it has 2 wiring harnesses coming off it, a 7 wire and a 2(red and Black).
The blower motor resistor is located in the air duct behind the glove box. If you drop the glove box out of the way you can follow the wires from the blower motor to the resistor module. Easy fix and less than $40 www.trailvoy.com Trailblazer enthusiasts website with all the answers!
I recently had to change mine...about a $25 fix. Kind of a pain to do but not bad. The blow motor resistor is behind the glove box. well i have a 2003 Chevy trailblazer ext but i assume they are the same. just empty the glove box...and it kind of forward and exposes the parts behind it. mine was to the left. hope this helps!
The resistor is either located on the firewall close to the alternator or, remove the passenger headlamp and it will be located behind the horns or horn depending on your year.. The newer models should have it located on the firewall and earlier models will have it behind the passenger side headlamp..

the fan control is on the left side of the heater control assembly, center of the dash. the resistor block which is probably what your asking about is above the front seat passengers feet behind the hush panel.
Blower resistor is behind the blower motor up against the firewall you can see wires hanging down from it. (Mite be called blower control module in 2005 models.)
