It should be on the dip stick tube or just in side of the trans where the tube goes in
You unbolt the pan on the bottom of the trans to access the filter. The problem you will have is that the trans dipstick is a special tool that only the dealer has.
called a "lollipop" installed at the factory as a seal. when dipstick first installed this lollipop was released (pushed out of the the bottom of the dipstick tube) into the bottom of the pan. Being in the pan indicates that this is the first time pan has been removed. Just discard.
If it is leaking at the bottom where it sets into transmission--shouldbe an "O" ring seal
there is no dip stick its a bolt on the bottom of the tranny
you look for a dipstick at the bottom left of the engine
There is no dipstick. You check the fluid through the fill hole on the side of the case. The fluid should be level with the bottom of the hole.
You can replace it but it is a job that requires a Ford dealer technician. This?æparticular transmission does not have a dipstick, it uses a bottom drain that requires a specific fill procedure to follow which run the risk of damaging your transmission or further issues.?æ
the dipstick is near the bottom of your engine. it is yellow and is to the right of your battery. when you check it make sure your engine is warm. you have to fill it through the hole that the dipstick is in. use a funnel. use only tranny fluid from the dealer.
Facing the grille - look over the top of the radiator and fan, way down toward (your left) at the bottom of the engine. You should see a small dipstick handle down there. THAT is the transmission dipstick.
For the 6 speed transmission the dipstick is located behind the radiator support, to the left of the air cleaner box. The dipstick is a round yellow plastic towards the bottom of the transmission. The exhaust manifold is slightly above it, so be careful not to burn yourself.
Facing the car, the transmission dipstick is to the left toward the firewall and near the bottom of the engine compartment. It's rather hidden! The handle should be yellow.
No dipstick, you remove the plug that is about half way up the side and the fluid should be level with bottom of the hole.
