The snake sheds. Most snakes shed their skins several times a year, and it can be a long process, sometimes over one week long. The snake starts by rubbing itself up against a rough surface such as a rock, tree, etc to make a tear in the dead skin. As the skin tears, the snake slowly wriggles its way out of the dead skin much like a person takes off dirty clothes. It is a remarkable process, and when finished, the whole snake skin can be very pretty(if albeit disgusting :) ) because in most species the skin is very detailed, so u can even see the skin that had covered the eyes and face.
Snake skin is fascinating. There is a covering of the body and overlaying that are scales or scutes of varying shapes and sizes. The purpose of the scales includes protection, assist in movement, fluid retention and camouflage. The skin does not grow with the snake body, so it is moulted or shed in one layer. Moulting gets rid of the worn out skin, of course, but it also helps rid the snake of free-riders such as ticks and mites. The snake is most vulnerable during this time as the scales over the eyes become cloudy until they are shed, and the new skin must dry and harden before it can fully protect the snake.
similar to a lizard and very smooth and soft. All the storys about slimy skined snakes are just lies.
the skin of a reptile looks very scaly and it is very rough, but that's for snakes only.
for reptiles like frogs their skin looks very wet but if you feel it, it is very slimy
The image is of a typical rattlesnake. All species of rattlesnake are pretty much a variation on this basic design but with different patterns common to the species.
what is wrong with it describe what the skin looks like
No snake skin purses are not made from the shedding of a snake simply because it is to weak snake skin purses are made from the actual skin of the snake wether they kill the snake to get the skin or if they just go out and find a dead snake and take the skin off but anyways snake skin purses are make from the skin
The snake had green skin.
no it is not made from a snake skin
The Snake's Skin was created in 1926.
A snake sheds its skin, because it allows the snake to grow.
It's hard to describe really. The shed skin is smooth to the touch, but quite fragile and brittle.
It has scales not skin
Most reptiles would meet that description.
camaflage it
In humans this condition is called Ichthyosis. The skin looks scaly, but it is not snake skin.
