A diagram of the Ford F1 50 front hubs can be obtained from most Ford dealerships. The front hub diagram can be found at most auto-parts stores.
it might have to be pressed in with a machine call and ask people
clock wise is lock
are you sure you have the hubs locked in? if automatic hubs then it probably needs manual hubs put in. You have to be stopped and transmission in neutral
The Ford locking hubs allow you to manually disconnect the front wheels of your vehicle from the front half shafts. This basically shuts the 4 wheel drive off.
pull them off and put new ones on...problem solved
ok it should have lock in hubs so pull your 4x4 switch onto 4x4 high and get out and turn your hubs on both sides on your front wheels
To remove hubs on an automatic 1996 Ford F150, first remove the silver cap that has 3 Torx screw using a Torx screw driver. Secondly, there is a snap ring inside the next part where those Torx screws came out of; remove it using the correct hub socket. The hubs come right off after removing the ring.
if it does not lock in while going forward then try backing up a few feet....It is a ford...lol
the hubs are bad buy new ones i had the same problem
288lb/ft to 334lb/ft
did you get out of your vehicle and physically lock the hubs on the front wheels? there automatic locking hubs.
What year? if it's a 99-2010 4by4 you can't service the front hubs you need to replace the entire unit as a whole. Sorry.
