Yes, Burger King sold Hot Dogs. They came in a neat little styrofoam box. I'm not sure when, exactly, they decided to stop... or if they served them at all Burger Kings, but in North Conway, NH you could most certainly order a hot dog at the local King in the mid-80s.
Burger King was founded in Florida in 1953. Inspired by McDonald's and it became Burger King in 1959 and was sold to the Pillbury company in 1967. It sold only burgers until 1979 adding chicken and fish. It looks like hot dogs were added in 2011.
