I did a lot of serch on this crescent arms club shotgun which I have never heard of before. I checked many sites in the web containing shotguns from crescent firerms since the late 1800's and nowhere I found one called club.
yes
yes they did
Crescent was formed in 1892 and purchased by H&D Folsom Sporting Goods in 1893. It operated as Crescent Fire Arms until 1931 when the company was purchased by the Stevens Division of Savage Arms. The name was used on Crescent models manufactured by Stevens until about 1935.
1900-1930 or so.
crescent made shotguns for Hermitage from 1904 to 1930. nothing mentioned on muzzle loading rifles.................
Plymouth was a trade brand shotgun made by Crescent Fire Arms Co and later by Davis-Warner Arms Co. It was distributed/retailed by H & D Folsome. Shotgun Markings also lists a hammer double barrel by an unknown Belgian maker and indicates the retailer was Spear & Co.
Not Crescent- Savage made them for Gambles Store under their Pioneer trade name. Have a couple of them. Basic, but nice little rifles.
Folsom Arms Co was a trade name used by H&D Folsom Arms Company (1849 - 1954). These guns were manufactured by Crescent Fire Arms Co (1892-1931). Shotguns marked with this name were also imported from Belgium.
Most likely it was made by Crescent Arms.
No. There was no manufacturer named Central Arms Co. Guns with this name were made by J. Stevens, Crescent, Davenport, Pieper, and probably others. Many will not have serial numbers.
None that I can find in the Catalogue: Crescent did make what was known as Hardware rifles (Shotguns) for various hardware companies, and eventually became part of Savage arms co. You may be thinking of Crosman BB guns, they are still in business today.
