it's honestly quite annoying how people place the blame all on eve.
rather it was the devil who is and always had been against the people who influenced adam to eat from the tree in order for god to be angry with him.
(the devil hated people from the start as he is evil himself so it's of no surprise for why he would want adam to eat the fruit)
just as a person does bad, haves bad thought e.t.c. similarly adam had these thoughts from the devil and so eventually he ate the fruit.
It was Eve who first sinned by eating a fruit (often called an apple) from the tree of knowledge (it was Satan in the form of a serpent that convinced her to take the fruit God had told her not to), thus opening her mind to the knowledge of good and evil, then she gave the fruit to Adam who ate it also (thus choosing to sin as well).
So yes Adam is At Fault for eating the fruit, but also for not putting God's word above all else. He did what Eve asked of him and not what God asked of him.
A:
No, it was not an apple. According to Genesis chapter 3, they ate the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. God had forbidden them to eat this fruit because, by eating it, they would becom god-like. We see at Genesis 3:22 what happened when they disobeyed and ate that fruit: "now the man is become like one of us." Man became like the gods, except that he was still mortal. So that he would not now eat of the Tree of Life and thus become immortal, God sent Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden and placed cherubim and a flaming sword to keep (block) the path to the Tree of Life (Genesis 3:24).
Yes, both Adam and Eve sinned by disobeying God commands and eating from the tree. See related question for more information.
The Muslims believe that the holy Prophets are free from sin. Forgetful for a little while does not amount to sin. Both Adam and Eve were too innocent to see through the conspiracy of Satan. Hazrat Adam was not created to live in Paradise. He was created to be the Caliph of Almighty God on the earth. So, the eating of the forbidden fruit was a pretext to send them to the earth and a practical training for them to beware of Satan.
In the Book of Genesis, Adam and Eve did not actually eat an apple - they ate the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil (Genesis 2:17).
Once Adam and Eve had eaten the fruit (the "apple") of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, they were they were now like gods (Genesis 3:22: "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us..."), but had also become aware of their mortality.
The only difference between them and God (or the gods) was that they must die. By eating of the Tree of Life (which was also in the Garden), they would then also be immortal. In Genesis 3:24, God drove out the man and placed at the entrance to the Garden of Eden, cherubim and a flaming sword to keep [block] the way of the Tree of Life. In the Genesis story, Adam and Eve were sent from the Garden and could not be allowed back for fear they would eat of the second tree.
She was violating the word of God, so the answer is yes.
The fruit was not named as an apple in The Bible. It is only referred to as the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. It is mistakenly believed to be an apple.
accotding to the Bible, eve ate the apple then tempted Adam with it
The Bible does not say. It only says Adam & Eve ate the fruit from the tree.
Gen:2:17,3:6
First off, who said Adam or Eve ate an apple? If you read the scripture it says they took and ate from the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. This is not an apple tree it is a tree of knowledge of good and evil. What does this type of fruit look like might be the real question to ask as well as "Is this fruit of knowledge of good and evil actually physical fruit that you pluck from a tree or is it something more....?
Eve took fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of good & evil. Since there was only one such tree in the garden, it would not be a fruit we know. Artists painted the scene during the Renaissance, and depicted an apple, which lead to the common reference.
Both ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil: a serpent tempted Eve who ate it first and then offered the forbidden fruit to Adam. But the bible never identifies that fruit as being an apple...
When god spoke to them , they were hiding, god punished both of them and chased them out of Eden. Apples grow on apple trees, but what fruit grows on the tree of knowledge of good and evil? Do a search: The First Scandal Adam and Eve. Please.
Death
The tree of life is the same as the tree of knowledge. God forbade Adam and Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge, and Eve broke that rule. That is why we have sin. So yes, it is bad to eat from the tree.
Nobody knows. Not even the Bible tells us what kind! But I think it was a apple tree.Or orange,or..........yeah, nobody knows.
If you have ever seen the Twilight movie then you would know. Do you remember when Edward kicks the apple up for Bella and is holding it in that position with his hands. I think it means something alond=g those lines of " First Love".
The answer to your question is answered in Genesis 3:14. Yes the serpent was cursed.
A:Yes. In fact apple trees have existed for millions of years. Apple trees should not be confused with the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, that features in the story of Adam and Eve.
The tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
They ate the forbidden fruit... Being an apple... Which God told them not to eat.
