Yes, God appeared to Adam in the Garden. After the Fall, Adam hid himself when called by God. ---- No, Allah(God) Almighty never appeared to Adam pbuh,. The Messenger described Allah, as "His veil is Light, if He unveils it, the Light of His Face will burn all what His Sight reaches (which is everything!)" [Muslim]

Quran 6:103 "No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision..." (When the people of Paradise will be gathered in a beautiful place) So the Lord - Blessed and Exalted - will laugh to them and say: 'O People of Paradise! Where are those who used to obey Me without having ever seen Me? This is the Day of Increase!'

So, they will all give the same response: 'We are pleased, so be pleased with us!' So, He will say: 'O People of Paradise! If I were not pleased with you, I would not have made you inhabitants of My Paradise! So, ask of Me!' So, they will all give the same response: 'Show us your Face so that we may look at it!' So, the Lord - Mighty and Majestic - will remove his covering and will majestify them and will cover them with His Light, which, if Allaah - the Exalted - had not Willed not to burn them, would have burned them. So, how sweet is this speech to the ears, and how cooled are the righteous eyes by the glance at His Noble Face in the Afterlife…

Yes, the serpent in the Garden of Eden did talk to Eve. It is not the normal ability of animals to speak with humans, but in this instance Satan used the beast for this purpose. The power did not come from God. Rather, it was Satan speaking through the animal.

In The Bible, the snake says to Eve, "your eyes will be opened". Before this, you can read that the trees were made to be pleasing to the eye. So things in the bible are not to be taken literally.

The bible clearly states that the snake talked. It also says your knowledge comes from a fruit tree. Hm.

Interestingly, nowhere does it say Satan controlled the snake, it only reasserts that God created the snake.

AND

God asks, "Where are you?", while Adam and Eve are hiding. This shows he is not in direct control of the things he has created.

The story attempts to explain why we farm, why labor hurts, why we wear clothes, why we hate snakes. It also shows animals as intelligent. Hm. Smart enough to talk, to gain knowledge from, to gain knowledge from fruit?

Well, it is mysterious, where our knowledge comes from. This is an explanation of it. It seems we did upgrade to farmers at some point, and at some point around the dawn of intelligence women did start having babies with oversized heads, which creates painful labor. Then we wanted to wear clothes, this all makes sense. Some fruit is bad, seems yet another message, watch out for snakes. Its an odd story, not literally true, but revealing none the less.

What influence does the snake have along our path? Perhaps, seeing the snake with the fruit, Eve suddenly realized she could eat the fruit. The snake looked at her, as if saying with its eyes, "Why don't you eat the fruit, it will not kill you."

The words of her Lord ring false and perhaps they realize that they are more than pets, that they are naked. The ideas come rushing. God planted an idea in their head, but they had matured into adults. Adam and Eve were children before the fruit, she matured first and had enough wits to eat the fruit. This is really just disobeying God, and she really did gain that knowledge from the fruit.

None of it is literally actually what happened. God represents our thoughts, which we know come from ourselves. Talking snakes are just superstitious beliefs. Everything else is crazy explanations. Of course the bible is not a single book, it is many books. So the story from one does not necessarily match the story of another.

What! You don't believe that Satan was manifested as a beautiful creature that could speak? Of course he could. Why not? We've got talking snakes today that tell lies: they're called 'politicians'.

All primitive cultures have creation stories in which animals spoke to humans. The snake is almost universally disliked, so makes an ideal example of evil in any creation myth.

But did he really talk to the humans, just as described in Genesis? Snakes do not have the physiological capability of speech - among other things, no pharynx, and a split tongue suitable for sensing smells, but not for speech. It would certainly have been a miracle for the serpent to speak to Eve, and surely that would have required God to have wanted him to do just that. If God wanted to give the serpent the miraculous power to talk to Eve about eating the fruit, then surely that absolves Adam and Eve of any guilt, and there can be no original sin.

No, the serpent did not really talk in the garden - whether or not we accept the rest of the passage.

God spoke to both Adam and Eve as the only humans around. He taught them His Law of right and wrong and answered all their questions.
