In the garden of Eden god came every evening to have a talk with Adam and eve, but when god came down after they had fallen in sin they were hiding and realized that they were naked. God chased them that time out of Eden for ever.
If Adam had eaten only from the tree of Life, he would have lived forever, and would not have died.
The tree of life is the same as the tree of knowledge. God forbade Adam and Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge, and Eve broke that rule. That is why we have sin. So yes, it is bad to eat from the tree.
From the New Testament book, The Revelation to John, "In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." (Revelation 22:2 KJV)
A:The first tree actually named in the Bible is the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (Genesis 2:17), followed by the Tree of Life (Genesis 3:24). After Adam had eaten of the Tree of Knowledge Good and Evil, he then knew that one day he would die. He also knew that the fruit of the Tree of Life would give him immortality. God drove Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden and placed cherubim and a flaming sword at the entrance to keep or block the path to the Tree of Life.
it is because adam and eve sinned when god told them not to eat a specific tree from the garden.
God warned Adam if he ate from the tree of life that he would die. The scripture was referring to be separated from the perfect almighty creator.

A:Genesis 2:17 explicitly forbids Adam to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, but does not forbid him to eat of the Tree of Life. Leon R. Kass (The Beginning of Wisdom: Reading Genesis) says that this can be explained because Adam would not have been aware of his own mortality and would therefore not have been interested in eating from the Tree of Life. There was, at this stage in the story, no reason for God to bring this tree to Adam's attention. After Adam had eaten of the Tree of Knowledge, he then knew that one day he would die. He also knew that the fruit of the Tree of Life would give him immortality. God drove Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden and placed cherubim and a flaming sword at the entrance to keep or block the path to the Tree of Life (Genesis 3:24). It was no longer enough to forbid Adam and Eve to eat from the Tree of Life: they had to be forcibly prevented from doing so.
A:Genesis 2:17 says that God placed a Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the middle of the Garden of Eden. By eating the fruit of this tree, Adam became god-like: (3:22) "now the man is become like one of us." Adam had become like the gods, except that he was still mortal. So that he would not now eat of the Tree of Life which God had also planted in the Garden of Eden, and thus become immortal, God sent Adam and Eve from the Garden and placed cherubim and a flaming sword to keep (block) the path to the Tree of Life (3:24).
Genesis 3:21 '' the Lord made garments of skin for Adam and Eve and clothed them, this garment of skin is what we call ''fur'' today.
