No more than likely he did not. He may have loved her (or thought he did) and he even may have had fun with her in bed, but more than likely he did not want to marry her. For one she was already married when they started their affair. The second she was not exactly a good choice for Queen. She had been around while she was at the French court sleeping around with lots of men Francois I called her a weirdo and more infamous than anybody.

Anne Boleyn was ordered to catch the eye of Henry VIII by her father Thomas Boleyn and her uncle The Duke of Norfolk to gain power in the court for their family.

As far as history tells it, Anne did fall in love with Henry and wanted to marry him out of love as well as for the crown & power.

You can read some of Henry's love letters to Anne here: http://englishhistory.net/tudor/lovelett.html

Anne Boleyn was briefly betrothed to Lord Henry Percy, however when King Henry VIII first saw her and was attracted to her, he sent his minister, Cardinal Wolsey, to break them up so he could have her to himself.

Lord Percy went on to marry a woman and though she tried to get a divorce using the claim that her husband and Anne Boleyn had been legally married, there was no evidence to suggest that this was so.
