Yes, indeed he did. I have in my collection what i believe to be a commemorative coin in his honor. On the face it shows a picture of him and says "19th president, U.S.A. Rutherford B Haynes 1877 1881. On the opposite side, or what I would perceive to be the back it says "He serves his party best who serves his country best, Brigadier General in the Civil War congressman governor of Ohio defeated Tilden for the Presidency by one electoral vote" The coin I have seems to be in rather good condition and appears gold, although I am not sure if it is indeed gold. I have recently seen one on Ebay in worse condition than mine (appears oxidized or dulled probably due to the general age of the coin) for about 12 dollars. No idea what the coin is worth but I will check soon at my local coin collector store and report back with what I find. Hope this helps and I would be interested in hearing about your coin, Unfortunately I have seen a thread online and found that it may have come in a cracker jack box, although I am not positive. Certainly hope this is not the case because the coin is such a cool one and its a nice addition to my collection.
I'm sure that if there had ever been a President Rutherford he would have had a slogan. But since there has never been a President Rutherford I guess the answer would be "no". I wonder if you are really asking about President Rutherford B. Hayes......
Yes, on a dare from President Rutherford B. Hayes, for 17 minutes.
Rutherford Hayes won the 1876 presidential election defeating Samuel Tilden. In the 1876 presidential election Rutherford Hayes received 185 electoral votes and Samuel Tilden received 184 electoral votes. The popular vote totals were Tilden 4,288,546 and Hayes 4,034,311. The electoral votes of 4 States were disputed. Congress referred the matter to the Electoral Commission which gave the decision to Rutherford B. Hayes.
I do not think he was ever a judge. He was city sollicitor for a little while before the Civil War.
SHELB SHELB ! BEST PERSON EVER
The US president who said "Nobody ever left the Presidency with less regret than I do" was Rutherford B. Hayes. Hayes was the 19th US president and was in office from March 4, 1877 â?? March 4, 1881.
Rutherford B. Hayes is reported by some sources to have had ata least four cats, including the first Siamese kittens ever to be found in the White house
No. BUT...a wren did on the back of a modern 20th century farthing.
Rutherford Hayes was wounded several times while serving in the Civil War, if that is what you mean. No US president was ever wounded in a civil rights demonstration.
Winston Churchill featured on the reverse of the 1965 British Crown, commemorating his death.

Ernest Rutherford was the man you are thinking of. He was the first person to 'split the atom'.
