Yes, they never had a chance. They were in planes that were full of fuel and went into a steel and glass building. They exploded and caught fire. Most of the people on the floors where the people hit didn't make it out either. Some jumped and others burned. If they were above the crash site they didn't have a chance as well. They were cut off from help or escape.

They were hijacked and controlled as weapons to fly into the Towers, It was all a terrorism attack Incorrect. There are two points of view. One is mainstream media, and the other is the word of the people through youtube and alternative media. One must be selective and not believe everything, but use it all as a way to firmly connect dots. The correct answer is the mainstream media says that terrorists hijacked the planes and subculture media says that it was a Masonic Ritual of Sacrifice. Look this up on youtube and see for yourself before you grin there.
There were many different types of machinery and weapons used during the war. Rifles, torpedo's, gas and machine guns were all weapons of choice. Tanks, Zeppelins and planes were all used as well.
Some know how to fly planes because they are finished training but others have to go to flight school because they are new. Lots of pilots know how fly planes but others will learn how to fly.
The Berlin Airlift took place all over Europe, where allied planes flew supplies over Soviet terrain to supply the people of Berlin, Germany!
Sadly, not one person was found alive in the remains of the World Trade Centre: All on the planes were killed, as were those who were still in the World Trade Centre when the planes struck.
Planes were directed to land at nearby airports all over North America. When 911 happened the planes crossing to the US from Europe were forced to land in Newfoundland. The schools closed down and the people in Newfoundland were giving them food, beds, clothing, toothbrushes and what ever they needed.
For the US it was the FAA. Each country has there own version of the FAA.
There weren't any 'Scottish' planes as such. The RAF has always been staffed by people from all over the UK.

Two planes hit the Twin Towers and one plane hit the Pentagon. The third plane was supposed to hit the White House where Bush was, but due to the heroic actions of the passengers, it crashed in a field in Pennsylvania, giving Bush time to get out of harms way. The rest of the planes in the air at that time were ordered to land at the nearest airport or risk being shot down. The only planes allowed to fly the rest of that day were military or Air Force 1.

911 911 911 911 911 This is a great question 'cause people get all confused about what's paid for and what's not paid for and what ambulance is closest to them, etc. Always dial 911 in case of a health emergency. They know where you are calling from and where the nearest ambulance dispatch is located, and if you describe a particular problems (i.e., burns) will know the most appropriate center for you to be seen. Never waste time. 911 is for all medical emergencies and the people on the other end of the phone are trained to do triage while the ambulance is one the way. It is an incredible service that's saved the lives of many of us. Good luck!
Both sides used all aluminum (all metal) mono-planes during the sea battle. Only Great Britain continued to use obsolete WWI style Bi-Planes for it's naval use; until later in the war.
