The parliament has been given most of the power and will probably have it for long; the Monarchy had lost a lot of power over England (the Papists as well) and will probably never gain any for a long time. It changed history, as if the Bill of Rights had not been introduced life would still be unfair (the feudal system and the many taxes/laws) and people would not be as free as they are now.
