No, because every religion is free to use the bible in their own way. There is not only just one bible, but over 100 different ones, and evry christian religion, but also Muslim are using the one they like. There is also no copyright, so everybody can write his own bible and call it bible. The name is not protected.

only God can change the bible and since He never changes the bible will never change. it is the WORD of God... why would anyone change it.

the change that your probably refering to is the Sabbath. the Sabbath is Saturday and always will be,

Roman Catholic AnswerNo, of course not. The Catholic Church received the "Old Testament" from the Jews. The Catholic Church, in its members, wrote the books of the New Testament, and then in the fourth and fifth centuries, the Catholic Church decided which books that were claiming to be Scripture actually were Scripture. Those are the exact same books that we have to this day, because when the Church defined which books were of the Scriptures, and which weren't, then the Church zealously guarded this precious treasure for the next thousand years. And then along came Luther, Calvin, Henry VIII, and the other heretics in the 16th century who decided that they didn't like some of the beliefs in the Old Testament, so they threw those books out of the Bible!

In other words, the Catholic Church is the author and guardian of Sacred Scripture, she has guarded and copied it for two thousand years, using it to preach and teach. The Catholic Church never changed anything in the Bible, for that you would have to look at the various heretics.

yes..a lot..they have altered a lot..they have even added some books which are not really included from the original textbook..and they have even change some of the verses there..

Actual Answer:

The Bible stood in its present form for 1500 years until Martin Luther came along and dropped a number of books that he decided didn't belong there. He also altered a number of the verses to agree with his distorted view of religion. The Catholic Church did not alter the Bible, they preserved the Bible.

I am not Catholic or even Christian, but as far as I can see, when Jerome translate the Bible into Latin, he was making a good-faith effort to produce an accurate translation. All translation is inherently risky because in many cases, there are multiple possible translations, and in selecting one of them, the translator is making an editorial decision where personal bias and outside knowledge can color the translation. As such, I do not see Jerome's work in producing the Latin Vulgate as, in any sense, deliberate or malicious. Nonetheless, he does come at the text with clear Christian biases that lead him to emphasize, in his translation, Christian readings of passages that need not have been intended, when written, to admit of such readings. You can also fault Jerome for the limited access he had to original texts and his reliance on Greek translations of older Hebrew texts. On the other hand, a Latin translation was desperately needed by the Church, and Jerome had to work with what he could get his hands on.

What Scriptures did the Catholic Church change in the Bible?

Roman Catholic AnswerYou are operating with a mistaken assumption. The Catholic Church wrote the Bible, the Catholic Church decided which books were canonical (included in the Bible), and the Catholic Church has conserved the Bible through the centuries. The only ones who changed any Scriptures in the Bible are the protestants, who, after fifteen centuries of a Bible preserved by the Catholic Church came along and threw books out of the Bible, and changed the meanings of books they would not throw out.
