We're not sure who you're asking about ... who "they" is. Between 1969 and 1972,
twelve (12) astronauts in NASA's Apollo program were launched from Cape Kennedy
in six missions, were carried to the moon, descended to the moon's surface, left their
landing craft and walked on the surface, then launched from the moon and returned
safely to Earth. According to marks on some hardware that the first pair left on the
moon, they "... came in peace for all mankind."
If you're asking about anybody else besides these 12, the answer is probably 'no'.
