Many white people did hate him, but not all of them did. White people that were afraid that their way of life was going to dramatically change, and were afraid of this change certainly hated Martin Luther king. The whites that wanted blacks to have rights certainly did not hate him.
At an early age, he did feel some hatred towards white people because he was being discriminated himself. However, his hatred did not last long and he learned to accept his fellow man.
Martin Luther Kings was often harrassed and threatend, he was jailed numerous times, and beaten, he received frequent death threats and threats agaisnt his family as well. he was beaten up more than once, and was ultimatley murdered. He also saw many of his friends and folllowers harrassed, beaten, and murdered as well.
You are basing your perception of the mentality of white people on a very limited number. Most white people don't hate any group of people as a whole. White people have learned from their misperceptions of others since the days of destroying Native American societies and slavery. Why don't you try that.
