The service at the registry office last about 15mins, instead of having all the service you just go straight into the vows! At the church you have a proper service with a party etc. afterwards and it last 30-40 mins.

How can I find who was a brides maid in a wedding?

If you know the parents of the bride or groom then you could ask them. It is the best man and the maid of honor who sign the wedding registry at the church as witnesses, so you wouldn't be able to track down the brides maid that way.

What is the difference between an Islamic wedding and a normal wedding?

There is not a really big difference. In an Islamic wedding there is a contract that both Bride and Bridgegroom agree upon as well as a dower. A gift to the bride that the bride keeps for herself. it is done in a mosque and by an Imam. In a westernized wedding (notice I didn't say "normal" because no matter the religion ALL weddings are normal) There is a church, no dower, and a priest or pastor in a church. There are a few other differences however they are both legal and binding.
