I assume when you say broken you just cannot access it. To answer your question there are a couple of things you can do but just saying it is broken, need more details. Repost your questions and give the exact symptons when you start up your computer. The easy answer is no, need to buy a new hard drive and install it, then re-install the operating system. But this means you will also lose all of your files.

Disc refers to an optical drive while disk refers to a magnetic drive. As such, it seems that the person asking the question is saying that the DVD drive is broken on his Macintosh. Yes, that can be fixed. However, this is not a user-replaceable part. One needs to take it to a local computer repair shop to get the drive replaced. Unfortunately, as I explained to a client recently, parts for Macintosh computers are insanely expensive for no reason other than they have the Apple logo stamped on them. In this particular case, the user had a bad power supply in his 27-inch iMac. For parts and labor, the total bill to him was over $200 and three-quarters of that was the cost of the part! In a WIndows-based machine, the same repair would have been only $30 for the part and, as it would take no time at all to do the replacement, no charge for labor.

I have no idea what the drive replacement would cost the person who asked this question since I don't know if we are talking about a Macintosh desktop or laptop but suffice it to say, I am sure that it will cost more than the $30-50 that it would cost to replace the same type of drive in a Windows machine.

How do you insert 3.5 inch disk into apple computer that appears to only accept 5 inch?

The answer is probably "You don't". Macs have not supported 3.5 inch floppy discs for many years. If you need to use such a disc with a modern Mac then you will need to buy an external USB floppy disc drive. If you mean a 3 inch mini DVD then again you will need some form of external drive to use such a disc or an old Mac with a pop out drawer to hold the disc. If it is a disc from a camera then you can usually connect the camera to the Mac and read the disc from the camera. Full details of the type of disc and Mac would help.

If a Mac computer is not accepting a disc, check the disc for surface scratches. Superficial scratches can compromise the disc and result in errors. You will also want to be sure that the disc is compatible with Mac computers.

What is the bluray player software for Mac that uses least resources?

As far as I know, you will need the Mac Blu-Ray Player (or similar) and an external bluray drive for your Mac. It will read a Blu-ray disc from an attached drive and play it in Mac OS X. During the Christmas, there is a big discount on the website, you can get more there:

What happens if you put a disc for PC in a Mac computer?

A CD/DVD disc: It will depend what is on the disc. If there are files (Text, Video, Audio etc.) that the Mac can read then you can open them on the Mac. A hard disc: It will depend how the disc is formatted. Some will work. Some will be read only. Some will need reformatting to a Mac friendly format with Disk Utility.

When you start up your mac g5 it is stuck on the opening screen with the grey apple logo and will not go past that Is it a hard drive problem or something else anyway to fix it?

You can try inserting the Mac OS X installation disc and restarting the computer while holding down the C key. This will boot the computer from the installation disc allowing you to check if the hard disc is damaged with the Disk Utility available from the Desktop menus that load. If not a hard drive problem it may just be a corrupted Mac OS X file that will require reinstalling the Mac OS to fix.
