Christmas

Answer:

Many Inuit feel that "Eskimo" is a derogatory term for their people. The original culture of these Arctic people had no Christmas, it was imposed on them when Christianity was imposed on them. As a consequence the word Christmas would not be an original native word. For inupik speakers "Merry Christmas" would be translated as "Jutdlime pivdluarit ukiortame pivdluaritlo!"
