I contacted the DNR office, asking about primates in general and lemurs. I was told that only a Health certificate was necessary at this time for monkey's and lemurs. I believe "great apes" (orangutangs, chimpanzees, bonobos and gorillas) are not allowed or require a special license or permit. Because of Simian Herpes Virus, there may also be some restrictions on macaques, but I do not think these are in place either. There is a bill which has not been addressed yet in the state congress regarding restrictions to all primates, but currently it has not passed. I suggest you Google the DNR for Indiana, and contact someone there directly. I believe there is a veterinarian, listed as a contact for further questions, whose office told me, no permits required. I did this about 5-6months ago.

Not in most places, if you are allowed to have a pig. Many places have ordinances that don't allow you to keep pigs in your residence in a town or city.
